Karin Vickers is a Principal at Moore Stephens Lovelace, P.A. (MSL)
and is the Director of the Firm’s Tax Team. She has over 16 years of
experience in public, private and governmental accounting and
taxation. Karin provides clients with proactive taxation and
consulting services which surpass their need for compliance and
optimizes their business activity.
Karin has extensive experience providing tax consulting, auditing and
preparation services to large and mid-sized public and privately held
businesses. She advises clients in the areas of entity selection,
corporate structuring and tax planning in order to ensure their
business structures provide the most tax efficient solutions for their
individual needs. As the leader of the Firm’s Tax Team, Karin often
serves as the main point of contact with the client and facilitates
the meeting of their needs.
Karin has advanced experience dealing with federal, multi-state and
international tax regulations, providing consulting services and
ensuring compliance for businesses and high net worth individuals. She
handles a high volume of international tax work due to the Firm’s
strategic location in Miami and strong connection with the Moore
Stephens International Network. In order to maintain this knowledge
base for complex tax planning and consulting, Karin performs much
research in the areas of federal, state, local and international
taxation law. She also represents clients before federal and state
taxing authorities during an audit. She prepares and reviews the tax
provision and deferred tax components of financial statements and
works in conjunction with the client’s auditors to determine the
client’s potential tax liability. This information also assists Karin
in working the client to predetermine the effects of large
transactions on their financial statements. Additionally, Karin is
experienced in auditing state and local tax returns of corporate
entities and providing financial statement analysis.
Karin holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Hofstra
University and an M.S. in Taxation from Long Island University. She is
a member of the AICPA, FICPA, NYSSCPA and is a licensed Certified
Public Accountant in the states of Florida, Maryland, New York and
Virginia. Karin is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.
