Dan O'Keefe Joins
Public Sector Practice
ORLANDO, Fla. –
April 1, 2005 – Moore Stephens Lovelace, P.A. (“MSL”), a regional
certified public accounting and business-consulting firm,
headquartered in Orlando, announces it merger with Daniel J. O’Keefe,
CPA, P.A. which represents the Central Florida office of Harris,
Cotherman, O’Keefe & Associates, a certified public accounting firm
specializing in auditing government and not-for-profit entities.
Effective April 1, 2005, the merger of Daniel J. O’Keefe, CPA, P.A.
and MSL will double the size of MSL’s existing Public Sector Practice
Group and enhance its ability to serve public sector clients including
governmental and not-for-profits throughout the State of Florida. With
offices in Orlando, Tallahassee, Miami, and Clearwater, MSL is one of
the largest certified public accounting firms in Florida. Daniel J.
O’Keefe, the managing partner of Daniel J. O’Keefe, CPA, P.A., will
become a shareholder at MSL and in this role will team with MSL’s head
of the Public Sector Practice Group, Julie Baird. MSL will expand its
Orlando office in order to accommodate Mr. O’Keefe and the increased
number of staff.
Mr. O’Keefe has over 27 years of experience in the areas of public,
governmental and not-for-profit accounting including services provided
to 42 municipalities, 12 counties, and numerous state agencies and
special districts. Mr. O’Keefe has extensive experience providing
specialized public sector training and has received awards from the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida
Institute of Certified Public Accountants for his teaching endeavors.
He has also authored several instructional courses for use by the
FICPA and other organizations.
