Moore Stephens Lovelace Expands
Geographic Reach With New Georgia Office - New Shareholder to Manage
Office
ORLANDO, Fla. – February 1, 2006 – Moore Stephens
Lovelace, P.A. (“MSL”), a regional certified public accounting and
management consulting firm specializing in healthcare industries,
announced that it has opened its first Georgia office, effective
January 1, 2006. The new office will be managed by C.L. “Rocky”
Davidson, CPA, who has joined the firm as a new shareholder on the
healthcare team.
MSL president Bill Miller explains, “MSL’s expansion into Georgia
is a key part of the firm’s strategic vision to increase its
healthcare dominance in the southeast. In tandem with the expansion,
we are taking on new shareholders who are leaders in their specialty
to diversify MSL’s areas of expertise.”
Davidson has more than 22 years experience in private and public
accounting with extensive expertise in healthcare and other related
industries. His expertise and depth of knowledge in the healthcare
industry have enabled him to develop a close working relationship with
his clients. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia
College & State University in Milledgeville, and is past president of
the Middle Georgia chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants,
and a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants
and the Georgia Health Care Association.
DeDe Nichols, a principal with MSL, will relocate to the Macon
office from Orlando to assist Davidson in the management of the
office. She has been a member of MSL for 8 years and is a member of
the firm’s senior housing and skilled nursing facility practice
groups. Nichols has over eleven years of experience in public
accounting, with specialized experience serving clients in the
healthcare industry in the states of Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia
Southwestern State University and is a member of Georgia Health Care
Association, the Georgia Association of Homes and Services for the
Aging, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida
Health Care Association, Florida Association of Homes for the Aging
and the Florida Assisted Living Affiliation
Wendy Collins, CPA, joins MSL as a manager in the Georgia office.
Collins has over 15 years experience in public and private accounting
and has extensive experience serving not-for-profit organizations, HUD
properties, and the healthcare industry. Her experience includes
managing audit engagements as well as preparation of individual,
partnership, and corporate tax returns. Collins holds a bachelor’s
degree in accounting from Mercer University and is a member of the
Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Health
Care Association.
Betty Simmons also joins MSL as a staff member in the Georgia
office. She has over five years experience in public accounting and
holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia College and State
University.
