Merger Creates One of the Largest CPA Firm Associations in the U.S.

ORLANDO, Fla. – January 13, 2006 – Bill Miller, CPA, president of Moore Stephens Lovelace, P. A. (“MSL”) has announced that Moore Stephens North America, Inc. and the Global Alliance have merged creating one of the largest CPA firm associations in the U.S., with 35 firms and annual revenues of over $600 million.

The association will continue to be known as Moore Stephens North America (MSNA) which is a more established name in the accounting industry, and the new organization will still be part of Moore Stephens International Limited (MSIL).  MSL has been a member of the Moore Stephens network since 1987.  The worldwide MSIL network consists of over 330 leading independent accounting and consulting firms with more than 500 offices, in over 90 countries with total worldwide annual revenues of almost $1.25 billion.

The enhanced Moore Stephens network will provide numerous benefits to members firms and their clients including:

• As-needed network collaboration on client engagements providing greater efficiency and value for professional service fees.
• Expanded geographical scope allowing more comprehensive client service throughout North America.
• Increased level of collective experience and staff resources to serve the diverse needs of international clients.
• An enhanced MSNA talent pool enabling member firms to more aggressively pursue new service industries to further benefit clients.
Miller states, “Moore Stephens is already well-known internationally, and the addition of so many quality firms in the United States further enhances the Moore Stephens brand.  These firms possess talent and experience that further differentiate firms like Moore Stephens Lovelace, P. A. as a desirable alternative to national firms.  This is critical in today’s Sarbanes-Oxley era as many companies are dropped by their national audit firms or face heavy fee increases.  While our resources are now greatly enhanced, we will remain committed to serving our local, national and international clients with the same personal attention as always.”

Miller also sees an advantage for current and potential MSL employees.  “We anticipate that our recruiting and staff retention programs will benefit from the merge, since our increased ability to serve larger and more challenging clients is very appealing to our staff.  Our staff members will also enjoy a greater level of professional growth resulting from shared educational opportunities within the Moore Stephens network.”
